Elisa 96 Wells

Human 17 ketosteroids (17 KS) ELISA Kit
Species Reactivity : Human (Homo sapiens)
UniProt : N/A
Abbreviation : 17-KS
Alternative Names : N/A
Application : ELISA
Range : 3.125-200 ng/mL
Sensitivity : 1.25 ng/mL
Intra-AssayCV : ?7.1%
Inter-AssayCV : ?8.5%
Recovery : 0.96
Sample Type : Serum, Plasma, Other biological fluids
Detection Method : Sandwich
Analysis Method?? : Quantitive
Test principle : This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate 17-KS in samples. An antibody specific for 17-KS has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any17-KS present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conj µgated antibody specific for 17-KS is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conj µgated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of 17-KS bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Product Overview : A 17-ketosteroid is a steroid that has a ketone (C=O) functional group at the C17 position (in the upper right corner of most diagrams.) These compound are products of metabolization of testosterone in most tissues such as liver.
Stability : The stability of ELISA kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test. Keep the kit at 37°C for 4 and 7 days, and compare O.D.values of the kit kept at 37°C with that of at recommended temperature. (referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calc µLated by the Arrhenius equation. For ELISA kit, 4 days storage at 37°C can be considered as 6 months at 2 - 8°C, which means 7 days at 37°C equaling 12 months at 2 - 8°C).

Product Overview : 17-Hydroxyprogesterone is a C-21 steroid hormone produced during the synthesis of glucocorticoids and sex steroids. As a hormone, 17OHP also interacts with the progesterone receptor. It is derived from progesterone via 17-hydroxylase, a P450c17 enzyme, or from 17-hydroxypregnenolone via 3?-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase/?5-4 isomerase. 17-Hydroxyprogesterone is a natural progestin, and in pregnancy increases in the third trimester primarily due to fetal adrenal production. This hormone is primarily produced in the adrenal glands and to some degree in the gonads, specifically the corpus luteum of the ovary.17-Hydroxyprogesterone is not the same compound as 17-hydroxyprogesterone caproate. 17-Hydroxyprogesterone caproate is a synthetic (artificial) hormone that is similar in structure to medroxyprogesterone acetate and megestrol acetate.

Product Overview : YWHAz belongs to the 14-3-3 family of proteins which mediate signal transduction by binding to phosphoserine-containing proteins. This highly conserved protein family is found in both plants and mammals, and this protein is 99% identical to the mouse, rat and sheep orthologs. The deduced 245-amino acid protein shares high sequence homology with other 14-3-3 subtypes. The zeta mRNA was widely expressed in various gray matter brain regions, including the neocortex, hippocampus, caudate-putamen, thalamus, cerebellar cortex, and several brain stem nuclei. A human protein with phospholipase A2 activity was shown to be the zeta subtype of the 14-3-3 protein

Product Overview : Stratifin, was shown to be diffusely distributed in the cytoplasm and was present in c µLtured epithelial cells. It was most abundant in tissues enriched in stratified keratinizing epithelium. The induction of 14-3-3-sigma is mediated by a p53 -responsive element located 1.8 kb upstream of its transcription start site. Exogenous introduction of 14-3-3-sigma into cycling cells res µLts in a G2 arrest. After DNA damage, these cells initially arrested in the G2 phase of the cell cycle, but unlike cells containing 14-3-3-sigma, the 14-3-3-sigma -/- cells were unable to maintain cell cycle arrest. The 14-3-3-sigma -/- cells died (mitotic catastrophe) as they entered mitosis. This process was associated with a failure of the 14-3-3-sigma-deficient cells to sequester the proteins that initiate mitosis and prevent them from entering the nucleus.

Product Overview : 12-Hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid (12-HETE) is an eicosanoid. It is a metabolite of arachidonic acid produced by the action of the enzyme arachidonate 12-lipoxygenase. 12-HETE is a highly selective ligand used to label mu opioid receptors. 12-HETE can activate Cdc42, Rac1 and PI-3K, which then participate as upstream signalling molec µLes for PAK1 and JNK1 activation. 12-Hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid (12-HETE) is a chemotactic stim µLus for epidermal cells. 12-hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid (12-HETE), the main eicosanoid in skin, is assumed to have both pathophysiologic effects in inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis and atopic eczema and a physiologic role in the biology of cutaneous reparative processes. The mod µLation of epidermal 12-HETE receptors by UV-B may partly explain the therapeutic effects of UV-B, but possibly also contribute to photodamage to skin.

Test principle : This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate 11-Deoxycortisol in samples. An antibody specific for 11-Deoxycortisol has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any11-Deoxycortisol present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conj µgated antibody specific for 11-Deoxycortisol is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conj µgated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of 11-Deoxycortisol bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
