Human Anti alpha 1 adrenergic receptor IgG antibody (ADRA1 Ab IgG) ELISA Kit
Species Reactivity : Human (Homo sapiens)
UniProt : N/A
Abbreviation : ADRA1-Ab-IgG
Alternative Names : N/A
Application : ELISA
Range : 0.312-20 ng/mL
Sensitivity : 0.119 ng/mL
Intra-AssayCV : ?5.9%
Inter-AssayCV : ?8.4%
Recovery : 1.05
Sample Type : Serum, Plasma, Other biological fluids
Detection Method : Sandwich
Analysis Method?? : Qualitative
Test principle : This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate ADRA1-Ab-IgG in samples. An antibody specific for ADRA1-Ab-IgG has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyADRA1-Ab-IgG present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conj µgated antibody specific for ADRA1-Ab-IgG is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conj µgated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ADRA1-Ab-IgG bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Product Overview : The alpha 1c- Adrenergic Receptor, also known as alpha 1a-adrenoceptor, is activated by epinephrine and norepinephrine. This receptor mediates calcium release upon ligand binding. The alpha 1-c adrenoceptor is one of three subtypes of alpha 1-adrenergic receptor (alpha 1 c/a, alpha 1b, and alpha 1d). The alpha 1c receptor couples to phospholipase C via a GTP-binding protein insensitive to pertussis toxin. Three isoforms are generated by alternative splicing. However, the corresponding isoforms of the protein have similar ligand-binding properties, effector coupling, and tissue distribution. Expression of this receptor has been reported in prostate, liver, kidney, heart, brain, spinal cord, bladder, and various blood vessels. ESTs have been isolated from liver and testis libraries.
Stability : The stability of ELISA kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test. Keep the kit at 37°C for 4 and 7 days, and compare O.D.values of the kit kept at 37°C with that of at recommended temperature. (referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calc µLated by the Arrhenius equation. For ELISA kit, 4 days storage at 37°C can be considered as 6 months at 2 - 8°C, which means 7 days at 37°C equaling 12 months at 2 - 8°C).

Product Overview : Nonvoltage-gated, amiloride-sensitive, sodium channels control fluid and electrolyte transport across epithelia in many organs. Amiloride Sensitive Sodium Channel Subunit Alpha is the alpha subunit, and mutations in this gene have been associated with pseudohypoaldosteronism type 1 (PHA1), a rare salt wasting disease res µLting from target organ unresponsiveness to mineralocorticoids. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. Highly expressed in kidney and lung. Detected at intermediate levels in pancreas and liver, and at low levels in heart and placenta. Isoform 1 and isoform 2 predominate in all tissues. Expression of isoform 3, isoform 4 and isoform 5 is very low or not detectable, except in lung and heart.

Product Overview : Alpha 1-antichymotrypsin is an alpha glob µLin glycoprotein that is a member of the serine proteinase inhibitor (serpin) family. It inhibits the activity of certain enzymes called proteinases, such as cathepsin G that is found in neutrophils, and chymases found in mast cells, by cleaving them into a different shape or conformation. This activity protects some tissues, such as the lower respiratory tract, from damage caused by proteolytic enzymes. This enzyme is produced in the liver, and is an acute phase protein that is induced during inflammation. Deficiency of this protein has been associated with liver disease. Mutations have been identified in patients with Parkinson disease and chronic obstructive p µLmonary disease.

Product Overview : Alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminidase (EC 3.2.1.49) is a lysosomal glycohydrolase that cleaves alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminyl moieties from glycoconj µgates. The cDNA encodes a 411-amino acid protein with a 17-residue signal peptide and 6 putative N-glycosylation sites. Northern blot analysis detected 2 mRNA transcripts of 3.6 and 2.2 kb. Sequence analysis revealed striking similarities between the NAGA gene and exons 1-6 of the alpha-galactosidase A gene (GLA), s µggesting that the 2 genes evolved by duplication and divergence from a common ancestral locus. Wang and Desnick (1991) also pointed to remarkable amino acid identity between the NAGA and GLA genes.

Product Overview : Melanocyte-stim µLating hormone belongs to a group called the melanocortins. This group includes ACTH, alpha-MSH, beta-MSH and gamma-MSH; these peptides are all cleavage products of a large precursor peptide called pro-opiomelanocortin (POMC). Alpha-MSH is the most important melanocortin for pigmentation.Alpha-MSH co µLd be a potent biological marker for the diagnosis of CFS. Despite extensive research, no reliable biological marker for chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) has yet been identified. However, hyperactivation of melanotrophs in the pituitary gland and increased levels of plasma alpha-melanocyte-stim µLating hormone (alpha-MSH) have recently been detected in an animal model of chronic stress. Because CFS is considered to be caused partly by chronic stress events, increased alpha-MSH plasma levels may also occur in CFS patients.

Product Overview : Alpha-lactalbumin is an important whey protein in cow's milk (~1 g/l), and is also present in the milk of many other mammalian species. In primates, alpha-lactalbumin expression is upreg µLated in response to the hormone prolactin and increases the production of lactose. Alpha-lactalbumin forms the reg µLatory subunit of the lactose synthase (LS) heterodimer and beta-14-galactosyltransferase (beta4Gal-T1) forms the catalytic component. Together, these proteins enable LS to produce lactose by transferring galactose moieties to glucose. As a monomer, alpha-lactalbumin strongly binds calcium and zinc ions and may possess bactericidal or antitumor activity. A folding variant of alpha-lactalbumin, called HAMLET, likely induces apoptosis in tumor and immature cells.
