Test principle : This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate DMRTC2 in samples. An antibody specific for DMRTC2 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyDMRTC2 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conj µgated antibody specific for DMRTC2 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conj µgated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of DMRTC2 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Product Overview : DMRTC2 belongs to the DMRT family. Contains 1 DM DNA-binding domain. Expressed in testis and pancreas. May be involved in sexual development. Recent advances in the evolutionary genetics of sex determination indicate that DMRT1 may be a vertebrate equivalent of the Drosophila melanogaster master sex reg µLator gene, doublesex. The role of DMRT1 seems to be confined to some aspects of male sex differentiation, whereas in Drosophila, doublesex has wider developmental effects in both sexes. This s µggests other homologs of doublesex may exist in the vertebrate genome and encode sex-specific functions not displayed by DMRT1. Human DM genes map to three well-defined regions of chromosomes 1 9, and 19 (one gene on chromosome 19 having an additional homolog on chromosome X).

Product Overview : DMRTA2 is involved in gonadal differentiation. The gene is part of five novel human DM genes that map to three well-defined regions of chromosomes 1 9, and 19. Several studies have reported QTL in various species and strains of tilapia, regions contributing to sex determination have been identified on linkage groups 1 3, and 23. Genes contributing to sex-specific mortality have been detected on linkage groups 2, 6, and 23. Mapping of Dax1 joined LG16 and LG21 into a single linkage group. The Amh and Dmrta2 genes were mapped to two distinct regions of LG23. The Amh gene was mapped 5 cM from UNH879 within a QTL region for sex determination and 2 cM from UNH216 within a QTL region for sex-specific mortality. Product Overview : POLR2C encodes the third largest subunit of RNA polymerase II, the polymerase responsible for synthesizing messenger RNA in eukaryotes. The product of this gene contains a cysteine rich region and exists as a heterodimer with another polymerase subunit, POLR2J. These two subunits form a core subassembly unit of the polymerase. A pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 21. The deduced 275-amino acid human POLR2C protein, termed RPB33 by the authors, shares 45% sequence identity with the yeast homolog RPB3. Product Overview : DNA polymerase epsilon (POLE) has been implicated in DNA repair and replication. Purified human HeLa POLE consists of a 261-kD catalytic subunit and a 55-kD accessory subunit. Li et al. (1997) cloned the small subunit of human POLE, which they symbolized DPE2. The cDNA predicted a 526-amino acid protein. The gene product has 26% identity to DPB2, a POLE accessory protein in the yeast S. cerevisiae. Li et al. (1997) assigned the DPE2 gene to human chromosome 14 using human-rodent hybrid panels. The gene was then regionally localized to 14q13-q21 by fluorescence in situ hybridization.

Product Overview : Dis3L is an RNase enzyme homologous to the yeast protein Rrp44, and can be part of the exosome complex in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells. DIS3L belongs to the ribonuclease II (RNB) family. Ribonuclease II (RNase II) is a major exoribonuclease that intervenes in all of these fundamental processes; it can act independently or as a component of the exosome, an essential RNA-degrading m µLtiprotein complex. RNase II-like enzymes are found in all three kingdoms of life, but there are no structural data for any of the proteins of this family.
