Gamma adaptin antibody
The gamma adaptin antibody is a specific immunoreagent targeting γ-adaptin, a subunit of the AP-1 (Adaptor Protein Complex 1) involved in clathrin-mediated vesicle formation at the trans-Golgi network and endosomes. Gamma adaptin plays a critical role in cargo selection and vesicle budding in intracellular trafficking.
This antibody is typically raised against a peptide or recombinant fragment unique to the C-terminal or hinge region of γ-adaptin (encoded by the AP1G1 or AP1G2 gene in humans) and is used in Western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation for studies of protein sorting and vesicle dynamics.
